SIT Study Abroad-For Undergraduate Studies

Applications for SIT Study Abroad are reviewed on a rolling basis. As soon as an application is complete, it is reviewed by our admissions committee. Admissions decisions are made quickly, and some of our programs fill prior to their deadlines. This is why it is important to apply as early as possible.

Each program has an established maximum enrollment, usually between 15 and 25. Consequently, we encourage you to apply early, though not more than one year in advance of the program start date. You should also specify a second program preference.

For the current enrollment status of programs, consult our Enrollment Status Chart. We will notify you if for some reason you apply to a program that is already full and work with you to find an alternative that meets your educational objectives.

Check Application and Scholarship Deadlines.

Admissions Criteria
SIT Study Abroad welcomes applications from undergraduate students who are in good academic standing at any college or university and who have completed at least one year of college-level coursework at the time of application. Applicants must demonstrate a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5.

The application process is designed to make the best possible match between a student and an appropriate program. All applicants should submit strong academic references and demonstrate a consistent academic record, clear motivation for study abroad, and an understanding of the program model.

Delta-The Netherlands

DELTA (Dutch Education: Learning at Top Level Abroad) is a scholarship programme run by Nuffic in collaboration with the Dutch institutions of higher education. The aim of DELTA is to attract top-quality students to the Netherlands. Nuffic provides the institutions with a grant which, under general conditions, they are then free to allocate to students in the form of a scholarship. Students can use a DELTA scholarship to cover some of their costs, such as accommodation, travel, tuition fees and daily living costs.

The International Student Office of the institution where you will be studying can advise you on how to apply. They can also give you the appropriate form. Contact details for the International Student Office at all higher education institutions are listed on

www.wilweg.nl.

Click on ‘Links’ and then on ‘Studie’. Some institutions have also posted this information on their own website.
There is no general application form. Each institution has its own application form, so you always have to contact the relevant institution directly.

DAAD- Germany

Studying or researching at a German higher education institution needs to be properly financed. Public universities in Germany often do not charge tuition fees. If they charge such fees, however, these will be considerably lower than in other western countries. Thus, the main costs a foreign student or researcher in Germany has to face usually are for traveling, books and other materials relevant to his work, accomodation and the general living expenses. A scholarship or grant may be the answer for those who don’t have the necessary financial resources

Various German organisations provide scholarships for foreign students and academics studying or doing research in Germany, e.g. the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation or the DAAD. For information about these organisations and their programs see:
