M.Sc. Programme in Public Health, Maastricht University, The Netherland
Matra Training for European Cooperation (MTEC) Scholarships for Promising Students and Public Health Professionals. Approximately 30 full scholarships are made available by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the M.Sc. programme in Public Health as offered by the Faculty of Health Sciences of Maastricht University in cooperation with the Netherlands School of Public and Occupational Health (Amsterdam) for the coming academic year 2007/2008.
Coverage of the MTEC Scholarship
The MTEC scholarship covers tuition fee, study materials, housing, subsistence, travel to and from the home country, a personal development programme (including Action Learning) and a social programme.
Who May Apply For an MTEC Scholarship?The MTEC scholarships are intended for both promising students and public health professionals, that is, those who have completed a bachelor degree in public health, the health sciences or an associated domain and have started their career in a relevant field of work.
PreconditionsThe MTEC scholarships are meant for students and residents of the aforementioned countries (as listed on the front page) who completed their BSc with flying colours and who satisfy the criteria for admission to the MSc Public Health programme as offered by the Faculty of Health Sciences, Maastricht University. Public health professionals are required to submit proof of their employee to study for at least 10 months abroad and be issued with a guarantee that they can take up their position upon return.
Prospective students need to have completed a bachelor degree in public health, the health sciences or an associated domain, reside in the relevant states at the time of application, have a TOEFL score of at least 213 on the computer-based test; or 550 on the paper-based test, or a satisfactory score on a similar test, for example, at least 6.5 on an IELTS test and not be older than 35 years.
ApplicationCandidates should apply through the website of EVD/CROSS (www.cross-agency.nl ) and consecutively send their printed application form to the Royal Netherlands Embassy in their country. Furthermore, applicants who want to be considered for a MTEC scholarship have to go through the regular admission procedure of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Maastricht University.
Applicants who have already been admitted to the M.Sc. Public Health programme by the Board of Admissions of the Faculty of Health Sciences, can directly apply for an MTEC scholarship by using the application form which is available at the website of EVD/CROSS.
NoteApplications for admission for the academic year 2007/08 should be sent before the 1st of April 2007.

Master Scholarships at ENS Lyon- France
The ENS Lyon organizes an international selection for Master studies exclusively reserved for foreign participants. This selection is aimed at the most outstanding recent graduates and students currently in their final year of undergraduate studies. Candidates may apply for the first or second year of master studies. If accepted, they then become ENS Lyon International Students and receive a monthly allowance of 1,000 euros. The scholarship is awarded for one academic year and is renewable for a second year in order to obtain a Master. Renewal depends on the participants academic achievement.
Application form
A completed application (either in French or English) must include the following:
- the application form, completed legibly in black ink or using a typewriter or word processor;
- proof of nationality;
- a recent passport-style photograph;
- full academic transcript of undergraduate studies;
- copies of all diplomas—candidates will be asked to bring the original documents before final admission;
- a curriculum vitae.
Incomplete applications will not be processed.

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION The grants and scholarships offered within the framework of this Programme cover scholarly research, post-educational training in the teaching of the Greek language and culture and/or artistic creation in Greece only and in the fields stated in the above paragraph only. In principle, only persons of non Greek descent are eligible to participate in the Programme. As an exception to this rule, Cypriot citizens are also eligible to apply for category AI and AII grants only, provided they are permanently residing and working outside Greece. Additionally, as a second exception to the general rule, persons of Greek descent (second generation and on) are also eligible to apply for a grant or scholarship, provided they are permanently residing and working abroad or currently studying in foreign Universities. More specifically, Categories AI and AII also apply to Scholars of Greek descent or citizenship provided they have a professional academic career of at least ten (10) years in a University or Research Institute abroad. The CN Yang Scholars Programme For Undergraduate Programme at NTU Singapore
Eligibility CriteriaThe Scholars Programme is open to all nationalities.
Candidates with international qualifications should have outstanding academic results and extra-curricular activities. Candidates should have offered Advanced Mathematics, Phyiscs and Chemistry at High School level and will be required to offer these subjects at the University Entrance Examination, if shortlisted.
Application ProcedureApplication for the Scholars Programme for international students is open. The closing date for the Scholars Programme is the same as the application for admission.
Terms and ConditionsStudents on the CN Yang Scholars Programme will be awarded the Nanyang Scholarship which covers the entire duration of the undergraduate studies on condition that scholars maintain a minimum CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 3.5 over 5. The academic performance is monitored on a semester basis.
The Nanyang Scholarship ceases once the student is no longer placed on the CN Yang Scholars Programme.The scholarship covers the following:
Tuition fee directly payable by students (after Tuition Grant)
Living allowance of $6,000 per annum
Book allowance of $500 per annum
Computer allowance of $1,500 (One-off)
Settling in allowance of $250 (One-off)
The CN Yang Scholar would be guaranteed a place in the hall of residence during the 4 years of his undergraduate life.
Candidates in receipt of other scholarships are not eligible for the Nanyang Scholarship.
There is no bond attached to the Nanyang Scholarship apart from the 3-year bond applicable to all foreign students under the Tuition Grant Scheme.
Please note:Please satisfy yourself of your eligibility for the application before submitting the application form. False information or willful suppression of material facts will render your application disqualified, or if the Scholarship is awarded to you, the award will be invalid and you will be required to pay back the amounts received.
Eligible CoursesThe CN Yang Scholars Programme is tenable for the pursuit of any Science and Engineering course in NTU except Maritime Studies.
