A. Field of Study
Study/training is implemented only for university/training courses indicated in the pamphlets “Course Guidebook for Japanese Studies Students”. The Course Guidebook can be accessed from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology website: http://www.mext.go.jp/a_menu/koutou/ryugaku/06032818.html (Japanese), or Study in Japan website: http://www.studyjapan.go.jp/en/toj/toj0307e.html (English). It is also available at the Embassy of Japan.
B. Eligibility
1. Applicants must be born on or after April 2, 1978
2. Applicant must be a graduate of a university or a teacher-training school and have worked as teachers at the primary or secondary educational institutional or a teacher-training school in his/her home country for at least five years in total, as of April 1, 2013.
3. Applicant must be willing to learn Japanese and receive research guidance in Japanese Language. Applicants must also have the ability to do research in Japanese and adopt living in Japan.
C. Duration of Scholarship
Duration of Scholarship is for the period necessary to complete each university’s training course and should be between October 2013 and March 2015. (Extension of the term is not allowed).
D. Note
This is a non-degree programme and is not structured for those who wish to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctor’s degree. The grantee of this programme will be classifies as a non degree student whereby he/she will receive a certificate after completing the required training at the university.
E. Selection Process
1. 28 February 2013: Application closed
2. Mid-March (tentatively schedlues on 13 March) 2013: Examination (English) and Interview
3. Early April 2013: Completion of the recommended candidates’ documentation
4. End of August: Successful candidates will be announced.

Teacher Training Scholarship – Japan
ASB Bank & NZ Shareholders Association PhD Scholarship
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to further research and the dissemination of that research in the field of corporate governance and capital markets, with a particular emphasis on implications for New Zealand business.
- The Scholarship shall be available to a student enrolled full-time at the University of Auckland Business School who has paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for a PhD studying New Zealand corporate governance(see Note iii).
- The Scholarship is tenable by both domestic and international students.
- The basis of selection will be potential academic merit; an assessment of the quality of the proposed topic of the research and its potential impact on New Zealand business development, and relationships of stakeholders; and an assessment of the applicant's ability to complete the thesis in a timely manner. Consideration will also be given to leadership potential, potential contribution to industry, past study and experience in areas relevant to the proposed topic, written and verbal communication capabilities, interpersonal abilities, project management skills and demonstrated skills as a self-starter.

Applications by way of a form must be made through The University of Auckland Scholarships Office by the 1 May. It is strongly recommended that potential applicants discuss the Scholarship with the Director of the PhD Programme prior to making a written application.

The Scholarship will be awarded upon the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising the Dean of The University of Auckland Business School (or nominee), the Director of The University of Auckland Business School PhD Programme (or nominee) and one other professor from a discipline different from that of the Director of the PhD Programme. The donor will also have the right to nominate a representative.
How and when do students learn of the decision?
Approximately six weeks after the closing date by letter.
What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
The award of the Scholarship is conditional upon the ability of The University of Auckland and the Business School to provide adequate supervision and resources.

Covidien Master of Minimally Invasive Surgery Scholarships 2013 - Australia
For the purposes of the scholarship,students undertaking 75% of a full ourse load are considered to be enrolled on a full tim e basis.Selection for these scholarships will be made according to academic merit, research potential and suitability to undertake the program. Academic merit will be determined according to students’cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) for the preceding years.The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered; acceptance of the Scholarship offer cannot be deferred. Scholarships is Postgraduate Scholarship in Visual Cognition - University of Sydney
A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate with a good honours degree in psychology, science or computer science to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in visual cognition. The project is to examine behaviour in complex environments (like visual search in cluttered scenes) by using genetic algorithms.Eligibility:
