How to get Scholarships at an University
In order to be sure you get a scholarship you must be more persistent than the rest and do more. The sure way to do this is to apply to every kind of scholarship you find out about. Make a list of all the scholarships you find out about gradually or use the one provided by Bursary.me.
In order to increase your chances call every University or institution that you can think of and tell them that you would like to go there and check their scholarship offer. Because nobody does this anymore you will be received with great pleasure by the staff and most likely helped in your endeavor. You can apply for 50, 60 or even 100 scholarships. There is no limit to the number of applications you can send. Yes, you will need to write essays and complete forms, but after a few applications you will be able to reuse the information and you will even learn the processes by heart.
Another good hint is to use your network of connections to find new scholarships that are not public. Ask everyone you know if their company or institution does not have, by any chance, a scholarship to offer. Most big companies do and most institutions will probably be interested in funding your studies, at least partially, if you submit a great application and take your time to find a unique angle of presenting your qualities and your goals.
Finally, remember that in order to get a scholarship or a bursary you do not need to be a genius or have only high grades. Actually, there might not count at all if you make a good impression and have an excellent essay that underlines your potential. Request feedback on your applications before submitting them, proofread every document that you want to send and be persistent. Do something starting today.
