Applications for SIT Study Abroad are reviewed on a rolling basis. As soon as an application is complete, it is reviewed by our admissions committee. Admissions decisions are made quickly, and some of our programs fill prior to their deadlines. This is why it is important to apply as early as possible.
Each program has an established maximum enrollment, usually between 15 and 25. Consequently, we encourage you to apply early, though not more than one year in advance of the program start date. You should also specify a second program preference.
For the current enrollment status of programs, consult our Enrollment Status Chart. We will notify you if for some reason you apply to a program that is already full and work with you to find an alternative that meets your educational objectives.

Admissions Criteria
SIT Study Abroad welcomes applications from undergraduate students who are in good academic standing at any college or university and who have completed at least one year of college-level coursework at the time of application. Applicants must demonstrate a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5.
The application process is designed to make the best possible match between a student and an appropriate program. All applicants should submit strong academic references and demonstrate a consistent academic record, clear motivation for study abroad, and an understanding of the program model.
